Driving. Lots of em...

Aduka

Driving is fun. What makes it more fun is when you are driving your vehicle to a holiday destination. As for my case for this week, driving is not more than just mere getting from point A to point B. I had to travel from my house to Kuala Pilah and it engulf more than 2 hours (2 and half hours to be exact) of my time…and those 2 hours is just one way. The time accumulated of my travelling hours per day is about 5 hours in which I covered more than 300 kilometers. I know that travelling hours and distance is a joke for a lorry driver…but…I have to work from 8 to 5. yesss…8 to 5…in addition to that…after all those working hours, I had to travel back to Klang. Physiologically, it disturbs my concentration and it adds my car travelling distance to more than 1000KM this week. Shoottt…not to mention my biological clock…
1000KM is equal to petrol expenses of more than 3 weeks in my normal Klang-Shah Alam daily journey.

Well, that is what we call sacrifice…for “Anak Bangsa”…inner dialogue to myself in order to divert the tension from long hours of sleep deprivation. I lost count on how many times I had a quick blackout on the North-South expressway. To solve that problem…again…I’m not sure how many speeding tickets I got this week. Fingers cross… hoping that there are no speed traps along the North-South expressway…hoping that the police are too busy or lazy … or the speed traps machine gone bang somewhere in Seremban or Nilai. ^_^

Quick recap about my travel to work this week

  1. At one time, I had to get up as early as 4.30 am just to make sure that I can start my class at 8 am. That’s why I really pissed off with some of the students who choose to be late comers. Come on…I had to travel 150 kilometers…and I’m on time…you guys just have to travel few steps. In my defense…that is a very valid reason for me to be pissed off.
  2. Yesterday…I nearly hit a cow…no…no…a buffalo…nope…a herd of buffalo to be exact. There are so many of them. Some of the buffalo are with really big horns…horn???? Correct me if I’m wrong.
  3. Craving to eat durian made me stop at a durian stall yesterday just after Ulu Bendul. Don’t really buy anything because the price is crazy. Crazy uncle Durian…12 ringgit /Kilo???. Huh
  4. However…I bought durian today…for RM3/ Kilo. Darn cheap…I bought the whole 12 kilos of it. (Baya and Adli…baca ni…hehe).
  5. On Tuesday, I stopped for Air Jambu batu special twice. Hehe…sedap tu air jambu batu pakcu. Ye ke pakcu?
  6. Yesterday...I met Rashidah Habsan at Seremban R&R. What a place to meet my old schoolmate. She’s an enginner now at Proton. Tried to dig info about Proton’s latest engine but failed. …^_^
  7. I ate yong tau fu at the R&R while chatting with a bus driver from JB. He’s heading to Kuala Lumpur, sending school students for a Tilawah Al-Quran competition. I totally forgot his name.
  8. At noon yesterday, I made a foolish decision to wash my car. It was raining like hell just after the Indian guy who washes my car finished applying polish to the tire. I’m just smiling. His rezeki I guess.
  9. After sorting and defragging few haywire neurons in my head…I’m finally accepting the fact that I’m a bloke who will be living in Kuala Pilah for good….soon…that is next week. Gosh…no more cheap Wednesday movie tickets with Adli at Jusco Bukit Raja. The most important part…no more Nandos afternoon frenzy…bye bye Highway NKVE+ Tol Setia Alam. I will miss the morning and noon driving on you.
  10. Above picture is not related to Kuala Pilah. It’s just a tired car resting (I named it Wasabi...hehe...had to change his name) after a long journey. He has served me well all this time. That Satria Neo can rest a lot next week because my new house will be just 10 kilometers from the campus. He just has to work hard during the weekend…some people know why ^_^. Hehe…
