After few weeks my motorcycle have not caused me any trouble, she’s finally start to ask me to replace some of her components this morning. It starts with last week rear brake problem in which this morning I realize that the brake oil is already depleted due to hydraulic pump problem. I send the bike to a shop in Seksyen 7 Shah Alam. The mechanics asked me to replace the hydraulic pump kit and the holder for the brake oil. I know there’s something fishy bout that request. The hydraulic pump itself coast me RM 28, but the pump kit with the holder will cause me RM 45. The mechanics told me that the holder also needs to be replaced. After thinking for a while, I decided not to as I saw the holder is still in a good condition after the mechanic dismantle the upper part of my bike. So, I opted for the RM 28 option and up till now the brake is still in good condition. Beside the brake pump, I also replaced the brake pad...It’s about time because I never change the pad since I got the bike from my late uncle. The total coast that I had to pay this morning for the brake related problem was RM 40 (RM 12 was for a pair of brake pads).
The main chronicle about this picture is not concerning the brake pad, but regarding my front tire. The tire punctures again this morning while I’m on my way to work…arghhh… a bit frustrated because I’m really eager to go to work due to certain circumstances. I arrived at work late this morning...hehe… my boss already know bout it.
I called a runner from a number that I found sprayed on a road gutter to fix the front tire. The runner answered my call and apparently he is an Indian. It’s obvious with his Indian accent. He arrived at the petrol station where I’m waiting with patience about 20 minutes later. It’s a heck long period of waiting. After he dissembles the front tire, I asked him where does he comes from. He told me that he is from Shah Alam (no wonder he took 20 minutes to be there). He has been doing the job for few years and that is his full time job. I asked him how much usually people will pay. He replied…” I will asked for RM 20 if the person with flat tire call me directly, however, if the person get my number from a runner at the petrol station, I have to charge RM 25 for a flat tire. I must give RM 5 commission to them or the will never call me again”. I’m lucky I called him directly. After done fixing the front tire, he told me that his name is Karna. I key in his number into my phone incase my bike tire is flat again.
