My hobby in photography started when I bought a digital camera from Carefour about 7 years ago. I still remember the brand, Astrapix 600. If I nor mistaken, the camera posses a 3.2 mp sensor and once interpolated, the manufacturer claims that it have 6 megapixel capability. Actually it was only a marketing gimmick because the actual pixel is still 3.2 megapixels. After few months using that nice but crappy camera (in certain condition), I could not resist to buy a new camera. I picked a Nikon 2200. That Nikon picture quality was so far can be considered as good for a 3.2 mp camera. Less than 2 months using that camera, it was stolen from my room back when I’m in UIA. I'm a bit depressed because the thieves stole my whole camera set including 4 rechargeable batteries which cost me hips during that time. Well, maybe there is always HIKMAH in all the things that happened to me. After I list the Nikon, I made a decision to make rooms for canon. I bought a second hand Canon A400 and the pixel is still 3.2. Most of my friends ask me why I still stick with that pixel. I replied to them, pixel is not important; the thing that important in making decision to buy a camera during that time is the picture quality. I’m not wrong for choosing canon A400 as I very satisfy with the picture quality. My early Fotopages entries were mostly from that camera and sometimes with a lil bit editing using Photoshop.
My actual passion for photography starts when I realized how beautiful macro photography can be with correct techniques. That’s few years back story.
Now I realized that photography is much wider then macro world…it is about passion…about connecting to the subject and most importantly… it is about the story behind every picture that you took. Photography connects people’s heart.
Just my 2 cents
